I just read that yesteryear’s method to stop the burning of the Gällivarebocken was so successfull that they are using the same one this year.

I think this is very bad! It was a tradition! It should burn. Every year! But no. Instead of embracing this fun tradition, they do everything to stop it. Because it is not what they had in mind from the beginning.

Why not just build some kind of safety zone around it so that WHEN the burning starts, noone is hurt. And then celebrate the nice bonfire. Why not build it so that it burns for a really long time?

What is the point of the webcam if nothing happens to it?

Give the people what they want and stop being so childish about it!
